- Distinctive Shape: The mountain is known as “Bible Rock” because it looks like an open book from a distance. Its flat top also makes it look like Sigiriya. Thus, it is also known as “Little Sigiriya”.

- Panoramic Views: The summit is a large, flat plain. It offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can see places like Ambuluwawa and the Alagalla Range.
- Historical and Cultural Significance: The summit has an abandoned temple with a small stupa and a shrine room. This adds a spiritual layer to the hiking experience.
- Visible Landmark: The rock is a prominent landmark. It is clearly visible from the Colombo-Kandy road, especially at the Kadugannawa Pass. This makes it a well-known feature of the region.
