Lower Ramboda Ella Falls – A Beautiful, Stunning Waterfall Retreat

✈️ Why should you visit Sigiriya?

Lower Ramboda Ella Falls is a beautiful 15-meter waterfall located in Sri Lanka’s central highlands, nestled below the more well-known Ramboda Falls and often best viewed from the Ramboda Falls Hotel.
  • Three-Tiered Waterfall Series: Ramboda Oya creates a stunning series of waterfalls, commonly referred to as Upper Ramboda Ella (or Ramboda Falls), Middle/Center Ramboda Ella, and Lower Ramboda Ella. They are located within a short distance along the Ramboda Oya stream, with varying heights and accessibility.
  • Scenic Heights and Views: The Upper/Main Ramboda Ella (often called Ramboda Falls), standing at approximately 109 meters (total drop), is situated high above the Gampola–Nuwara Eliya Road, offering panoramic views of the lush highlands.
  • Roadside Spectacle:The Middle/Center Ramboda Ella Falls, a small cascade (often described as ~5–10 meters visible drop), is conveniently located alongside the Gampola–Nuwara Eliya Road, right before/near the Ramboda Tunnel, making it an easily accessible natural wonder.
  • Hidden Gem: The Lower Ramboda Ella Falls, approximately 15 meters high, is tucked away below the middle/center fall (short walk or view from below) and is best viewed from the nearby Ramboda Inn/Hotel or surrounding areas, providing an exclusive experience for visitors willing to explore further.
