Guidelines

Only Use Approved Safari Jeeps: Personal vehicles are not allowed inside the Moon Plains. You must hire an authorized jeep (available at the entrance) Dress for Cold and Windy Weather: The area is at a high elevation and can be chilly and windy, especially in the morning. Wear warm clothes and closed shoes suitable for light hiking Protect Nature – No Littering or Picking Plants: Moon Plains is part of an environmentally sensitive zone. Do not litter, feed animals, or pluck flowers or plants. Bring a Valid ID and Entrance Fee: Tourists must bring their passport or ID. There is an entrance ticket fee plus the cost of the jeep ride, so carry cash (LKR) as card payments may not be accepted.
