Guidelines

Since it’s a border-sensitive area near the Northern Naval Base, occasional military checkpoints may exist. Always carry your NIC/passport and any travel permits (especially for foreigners). Public transport options are limited. Hiring a private vehicle or tuk-tuk is recommended. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as petrol stations can be scarce in remote areas. Do not take shells, corals, or sand from the beach — it’s harmful to the environment and may be illegal.
