Guidelines

Tangalle has strong currents and powerful waves in some areas. Always swim only where locals or signs indicate it is safe—preferably near lifeguards or calm bays like Goyambokka Beach. Do not touch or step on coral reefs and avoid disturbing turtles or other marine animals. Tangalle is known for turtle nesting, especially at Rekawa—observe from a distance and follow local conservation rules.
