- Colossal Seated Buddha Statue: The temple has a giant seated Buddha statue. It is 160 feet high. Therefore, this is the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka.
- Graphic Depictions of Punishments: The temple features life-size models. These models show demons and sinners. In fact, they vividly portray punishments for bad deeds.
- The Historic Working Clock: The museum houses a large, old clock. A local craftsman made it in 1926. Moreover, this masterpiece still works and chimes.
- Comic Strip Narratives: The walls tell stories in a unique way. They depict events from the Buddha’s life. Also, these are shown in a comic strip format.
- Three Distinct Sections: The temple has three separate parts. Each section offers a different experience. For instance, there is a section for punishments and one with the main statue.
